Thai Food

We had Thai food for dinner yesterday night. It was at my favourite and most recommendable restaurant!!! Food was authentic and of course delicious!!!!... Have been to this restaurant multiple times. So far, have yet to find any dishes that we disliked. Everything was just awesome.
Brought Scott and Paul to this restaurant.... and they love it especially Paul - this guy can really take spicy food!!!! Kudos to him!!!!!

Very Spicy Tom Yum Kung
Paul and I shared a pot with 5 stars spiciness while Hubby and Scott shared another pot with 3 stars spiciness..... U guys must have thought that my hubby was not good at spicy food. Hey... U are darn wrong!!!! Hubby loves spicy food and he can handle it well!!!!! (that's one of our common food interests). Apparently, Hubby was taking 3 star spiciness as he was supposed to shared it with Scott who found that 3 stars was too spicy for him too... I noticed hubby spooning in plenty of hot spice into the soup to bring his to 5 stars as well....

Sushi Boat Restaurant in San Jose

Hubby and I got our sushi fix at Sushi Boat Restaurant in San Jose.

You can have the option of dining at a table or at the bar. Since Hubby and I were very hungry, we opted for the bar (accessed to the food faster mah...). Anyhow, the idea is similar to conveyor-belt sushi. However, it is a water pump that pushes the water around and the "little boats" float on the water with the current. The boats are decked with plates of sushi and rolls.

Not many varieties of sushi on the boats. But, you can order other sushi and hand rolls from the menu which the chef will prepare immediately. Other typical Japanese dishes include tempura, teriyaki dishes, udon noodle soup etc.

In my previous posting, I mentioned that I got some dresses from San Jose and all of which were on SALE.
However, 2 of the dresses were still FULL price at other stores!!!!! and I mean STORES ah!!!!!
Sometimes.... one really needs shopping luck to find great deals/bargains. And I had shopping luck that particular day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Mwahahaha).

Purchased 2 pairs of denims recently. DVB Denim By Victoria Beckham Capri has a flattering cut (slim down my fat thighs..), cute and short enough for spring and summer too. Whilst Stella McCartney Zippered skinny jean is classy. Also, with the skinny cut, they would be perfect for easy tucking inside the high-knee boots during winter... I need to send them for alteration though - too long for me.. (sigh.. why am I so short??)

Christian Louboutin and Lanvin

I love my latest acquisition of shoes from both Christian Louboutin and Lanvin.

Finally... I got hold of this particular pair of pumps..... Why do I say so? Long story.... (Sorry if I have bored u guys....)
I have to place THREE orders... And yes... it was THREE (your eyes aren't playing tricks on you).
I have tried on other Christian Louboutin pumps in the past and always need to up one size as their shoes usually run small.
My usual shoe size is 37/7. So, up one size, I placed the FIRST order in size 38/8. Order received. Happily opened it... and try it on.... OMG!!!....why was it sooooo big????..... Checked and realised it was size 39/9..... (Saks delivered the wrong size to me... have to return the item).
Immediately, I went ahead and placed the SECOND order in size 38/8 again. Order was confirmed.
Somehow, I kept thinking about the size of this particular pumps over the next 2 days... When I tried on size 39/9 which was wrongly delivered to me the other day... it seemed way too big for me... This made me wonder will size 38/8 be big for me too. Hence, I called up Saks to enquire about the size of this pumps. They told me yes... Christian Louboutin shoes usually run small... however... this particular pair of pumps run true to size!!!!!
Sighhhhhhhhzzzzzzz, I have to cancel the order for size 38!!!!!!!!! Once again, placed the THIRD order for size 37/7!!!!!!!
After all the dramas for the past 21 days, I am NOW the proud owner of this pair of Christian Louboutin New Simple Pumps!!!! Putting it on immediately on the same evening. Can't wait to show it off!!!! Hahaha......

It is a super high platform sandals...... but but.... with the 1 inch platform on the front... it was not as uncomfortable as it look... still need to be careful though.

SA from Hermes Dallas called to let me know that he managed to get it for me after a month of waiting... Freshly flew from Paris. Another arm candy for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippeeeeee

Chic looking wallet that comes with a Hermes mini lock - isn't it adorable and cool yah? Chevre Mysore (Goatskin) is such a lightweight and smooth leather. Absolutely love it!!!! Good functionality (sufficient card and note slots for me!!!!) and can be carried as a clutch too. Etoupe is one of my favourite colours from Hermes. Just feel that the colour will never go out of season.
I am still awaiting for the Birkin in Etoupe. Hopefully.... their marriage will happen soon!!!!!!!! (Mwahahaha)

Dazzling and Comfy Sandals

Hooray!!!!!!!!!!!!! Extremely delighted.......(skipping around)..... I was able to find this pair of Chanel Calfskin Sandals in Metallic while shopping in San Jose. Instead of the boutique, I got it from Nordstrom..... Apparently, Nordstrom just started to carry Chanel shoes 1 or 2 months ago.......

I was looking for this pair of sandals after seeing them in a magazine 2 months ago. My SA in Vegas was telling me that the boutique does not carry this model. Distribution of this model was only limited to a few boutiques (namely NY, LA, Hawaii and etc). However, she was sweet enough to call up these boutiques to check on the availability. Sadly, all were SOLD OUT!!!!!!.
Neiman Marcus does not carry them either..... I was even planning to look for one in Asia....

So, the moment I saw it and in my size (last pair)... Sealed Deal!!!

With a nicely done pedicure in dark reddish/burgundy nail polish.... these swirly designed sandals will look stunning!!!! and might be sleek enough for evening too...

Another acquisition of mine - Jeffrey Campbell gladiator sandals. It was really hard to resist. It was soooo comfy... The most comfortable sandals that I have ever worn..... (no joke)



Got some great deal for dresses too....... All on sales!!!! Yippppeeee!!!!!! (Hubby... your wife is saving money for u!!!!! hahaha)

Gathering

Paul, Max, Scott, Tim, Alex and Cassie came over to our house for a small gathering.... Jennifer was unable to drop by as she was not feeling well (hope she will recover soon.... as there's going to be another dinner and movie night at Scott's house.)

Since Jennifer was not here, I volunteered to be their babysitter for 4 hours or so......... I love it!!!!!!!!!!! Little Cassie has always been a well behaved girl since she was a baby!!!! Really enjoyed the time with her............... Oh yes ..... Little Cassie is learning to walk now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
